I am an avid user of the KSL classifieds. I’m always browsing through the furniture section, looking any deals on unique items. I even found my first big girl car on KSL!

When I discovered the app, it changed my world of thrifting. Instead of scrolling through Instagram, I’m scrolling through the KSL classifiers wherever I go. I can post my own listing within minutes. And I never miss a message because of the instant notification. Rather than getting an alert on your email and never respond back to the buyer in time.

I’ve sold tons of stuff - a skiing poster, my moms peloton, box mattress, dressers, a futon, and so much more I forget!

Reaching out to people to check availability on a listing is easy too. Instead of using the web browser, you can tab the message or text icon and the app instantly pulls the listing into the chat. Making it easier for the seller to know what you’re talking about.

The one thing I do wish would happen is getting more people on this app!! Sometimes I message a person about availability, but they take too long to respond (so I keep bugging them) or then never get back to me. They’re missing out! So what are you waiting for!!!

KSL Classifieds are great, it’s an awesome service, but the app is getting worse by the update. It used to remember your search settings for an entire session, now, if you click back one time too many, even by accident, you have to start over. It’s frustrating to use the app, the web version is better, but still imperfect. The latest version doesn’t understand sorting from lowest to highest price doesn’t mean 36, 37, 38, 47, 65, 39, 40, 41, 42, 57, 73, 43, 44, 45. If the misplaced sittings are promoted, they don’t say they were promoted or premium listings or the seller pause to be moved up, so, maybe just teach the app how to count. Give us a check box to save the search for the session without having to log in every time, or “novel idea” just make it as easy as it was and let us reset the search when we want to start over. Oh, and the new search filter is dumb when you put in a date range for vehicles, the slider bar is hard to use because the range is so broad, and the entry box forces you to delete the dates now. Hoping for improvement but not expecting much the way things are going.

I LOVE KSL Classifieds! Use it literally everyday, without fail. But… this new update has made things awful! The tabs we use most often are now at the tippy top of the screen, yet our fingers sit near the bottom. Why wouldn’t you think to nest the row of navigation tabs at the bottom, and get rid of the terrible ads (usually R.C. Willy) that sit there instead? Or sit right above the ad? The idea of the home page being customisable is nice, but by moving the nav tabs to the top it’s created a less convenient setup, especially if you’re someone who likes to use a single hand with a large display phone.

Also… Dark Mode! Where is Dark Mode??? This app is still rocking the crazy bright white background, where most all other apps have been able to come up with a dark mode option. I’m literally typing this review on the App Store in Dark Mode with white (super easy to read) text. This cannot be that difficult of an option to include, no?

We LOVE the KSL Classifieds system, as it’s far better than Craigslist, LetGo, FB, etc., but it NEEDS a Dark Mode, and would be much more convenient with the nav tabs at the bottom instead of the very top of the screen!
