Apple Pay is the one way to pay. It replaces your physical cards and cash with an easier, safer, more secure and private payment method — whether you’re in a shop or online. It’s money, made modern.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT*
Easiest way to get around town. Apple Pay makes it simple to catch buses and trains in your favourite city. Breeze through the ticket barriers just by holding your iPhone or Apple Watch up to the reader.
CAR KEY*
An iPhone and Apple Watch feature that lets you unlock and start your car with a digital car key stored in the Wallet app.
STUDENT ID*
Add your student ID card to Wallet, and use it to access places like your accomodation, the library and campus events. Or pay for washing, snacks and lunches around campus at participating universities.
HOME KEY*
Add home keys to Wallet on iPhone and Apple Watch, then simply tap to unlock a compatible door lock for seamless access to your home or flat.
HOTEL KEY*
Add your hotel key to Wallet after making your reservation, use it to check in so you can skip the lobby, and use your iPhone and Apple Watch to tap to unlock and access your room.
OFFICE KEY*
Add your employee badge/ID to Wallet and then use your iPhone and Apple Watch to unlock doors and access other locations where your corporate badge is accepted.
REWARDS & LOYALTY CARDS*
Add your favourite cafe or pharmacy rewards cards to Wallet, so you never miss out on all the rewards and benefits.

Ah, having everything in one spot really is the magic of it!
Apple Pay bundles it all up—cards, passes, even loyalty programs—so you don’t have to worry about carrying a bunch of stuff. It’s like your wallet is right in your phone, always ready. Plus, the added security features like Face ID or Touch ID make it feel even smoother.

This charged me without me knowing.
I notice Apple Wallet allows some apps, like the Lime app, to charge me without my knowing.
Particularly, yesterday I had around 5 minutes remaining in my 30’ minutes bundle of using the Lime e-bike app. And when I rode home it took me around 7 minutes. Then my bank app notified I was charged around $2 by Lime app which I use Apple Pay as my payment. I got surprised for this payment, because before the Lime e-bike just disabled the pedal-assist when I exceeded my bundle minutes without charging me any extra fee. But this time it charged me. Especially Apple Pay allows it to do so without my knowing. I thought if any apps wanted to charge me via Apple Pay, they need to bypass the biometric authentication on iPhone. But turned out it’s not. Apple Pay allows them to charge me without authentication. Now I’m really worried about this Apple Pay policy.
Apple Pay Everywhere
When I go to the shops for food and groceries or when I pay for my train/bus/ferry credit top-ups, all I do is tap my iPhone on the scanner and it automatically debits my card to pay for the goods & services. Sometimes I don’t physically bring my cards with me. And as an added security for me, once I double-click on the side of my phone, I got my Face ID and/or my 6-digit p/w to authenticate the payment. Anywhere or everywhere I go, I only take my iphone and use Wallet to pay!
